Flavor physics is fundamental to test the Standard Model of particle physics and could be the key to discover new physics. This book explores lepton flavor violating implications in the low scale seesaw models, a well-motivated scenario for explaining the still open problem of neutrino mass generation. It studies the lepton flavor violating Higgs decays in depth, developing useful simple expressions for making fast estimations of this observable. It also introduces a new parametrization optimized for the study of lepton flavor violation in these models, showing that high rates could be obtained for Higgs and Z decays if these new heavy neutrinos have masses in the TeV range. Lastly, it goes on to explore the possibility of their production and decay at the Large Hadron Collider through events with two charged leptons of different flavor.

Seesaw models with heavy neutrinos at the TeV energy range.- Phenomenological implications of low scale seesaw neutrinos on LFV.- LFV Higgs decays from low scale seesaw neutrinos.- LFV Z decays from low scale seesaw neutrinos.- Exotic LFV signals from low scale seesaw neutrinos at the LHC.- Conclusions.

Xabier Marcano obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of the Basque Country and his Masters degree in Theoretical Physics at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He developed the research contained in this thesis at the Institute of Theoretical Physics and the Autonomous University of Madrid where he received his Ph. D. in Theoretical Physics in 2017. He is currently a CNRS researcher at the Laboratory for Theoretical Physics of Orsay, France.

Nominated as an outstanding Ph.D thesis by the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain Shows the importance of lepton flavor violating processes for testing the massive right-handed neutrino hypothesis Provides useful formulas for computing lepton flavor violating Higgs decays
