Poetry for Dance
My poetry acts as a choreographic layout for dance,
some of the poems having strong and explicit description
which will eventually develop in
a specific chain of movements.
Some of my poems were made while dancing
and others were created for embodying movement.
However, this explicit way of provoking movement
is already on a first level embodied
in words and poems.
The next level will be taking in those poems
and allowing them to create movement in the body.
This is exclusively a personal
and unique way of expression
which belongs entirely to the dancer.
The poems carry within their expression
my history, my knowledge and my imagination,
everything coming together in an unknown and unseen place.
My approach is inspired from the Butoh-Fu notation,
that deals with this trinity,
image - words- dance.
It was first developed by Tatsumi Hijikata in Butoh dance,
and in parallel was developed by Kazuo Ohno
from within an entirely different approach.
My poetry is also inspired by the Surrealist movement.
