It is a rather rare genre – the play about the adventures of Erast Petrovich Fandorin. The famous sleuth is invited to an estate located near Moscow, where the will of a millionaire and collector of rare antiquities Boretskiy is to be read. After the unsealing of the will it turns out that the estate itself and all the funds of the deceased one are passing to his niece Inga, and the weird black-and-white fan with hieroglyphic inscriptions goes to his nephew Jan. Who of the heritors is deprived, and what secret does this fan hide? What's interesting is that the play is written in two variants – black and white – why ever did the author need it?..
