He was awarded the State Departments highest award by thenSecretary of State James A. Baker and also received the French Legion of Honor. He received his Ph.D. magna cum laude from theUniversityofFribourginSwitzerlandand his B.A. fromGeorgetownUniversity. Ambassador McCormack is an active member of the Council on Foreign Relations, CSIS, the Economic Club of New York, and other organizations. He has authored numerous publications.
